Environmental inspection

Beginning on August 10, the eight inspection teams of the fourth central environmental protection inspector began to enter the target provinces. The central environmental protection inspectors cover Jilin, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hainan, Sichuan, Tibet, Qinghai, and Xinjiang respectively, and are expected to last for about one month. We believe that with the steady advancement of the coverage of environmental protection inspections, the inspection and governance of flue gas, sewage, solid waste and other fields will be increased, which will further force related industries to transform. After the completion of this round of verification, the long-term demand for environmental governance may be opened.

Central environmental protection inspectors have tightened their law enforcement efforts, and the number of problems investigated and dealt with has surged. In the past three inspections, the total number of cases on file has increased from 2,766 to 8,687, and the number of punishments + accountability has increased from 3,585 to 5,065. The law enforcement has obviously tightened. In terms of the number of cases, the number of cases in the economically developed provinces in the east is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions, reflecting that the environmental pollution problem in the coastal areas is still serious.
